Custom Sonic Screwdriver 2

The CL Mk. I Sonic Device. In some ways much stabler and simpler than contemporary sonic tools, the CL Mk. I also incorporates some experimental elements, namely a semi-organic psychoreactive mesh grip. This results in a heightened telepathic interface and a tremendous range of functionality, while eliminating the need for individual controls. A down side is some loss of fine control until mastery is achieved with the mesh.


As for a less in-universe description...

Here is my second custom junk-built sonic screwdriver. The blue bands are painted copper tape, the emitter is the end off an ultraviolet pen, the "semi-organic psychoreactive mesh" is a bit of scrap naugahyde painted to look, well.... semi-organic... The cap at the end is a morette. The button gave me some trouble, as I wanted the emitter removable for battery replacement, but in the end I just glued a small rubber cap over it, and it'll just peel off if I ever replace the batteries.

There's another sonic on the horizon, but this time I'm buying parts and planning things out.
